Elizabeth Johnson
About the Artist
Elizabeth Johnson became enchanted with colored pencils after a workshop three years ago and began taking weekly classes with Melissa Miller Nece, a nationally recognized color pencil artist and instructor.
The artist immersed herself further through workshops, studying the Michael Wilcox Method of color pencil portraits and attended several three-day Colored Pencil Society retreats.
She learned the techniques that gave her the confidence to do a series she had long wanted to create: a still life series of her Dragonware collection of porcelain.
The artist is a member of the national Colored Pencil Society of America and its Gainesville Chapter. She is also a member of the Dunedin Fine Art Center, Morean Arts Center, Tampa Regional Arts and TESA (The Exhibiting Society of Artists.)
